It took me 5 days to find out I was sharing my home with a tortoise

Jennie has been my bestest mate since we were 2 years old, so it's bizarre that she has just had a baby. Alina is gorgeous, a month old already!

The "Bell clan" staged a mass invasion of a small unsuspecting mountain village in the French Alps, to celebrate the occasion of Christine (my cousin) and Matthieu's wedding. Beautiful place and nice to have the whole family together again. Congrats Mr&Mrs Bouvier!

Dead dogs

Aware of my friend Beth’s penchant for death, especially where dogs are concerned, it seemed only natural that her Parisian sojourn would include a trip to the “cemetière des chiens” (dog cemetery).
These were some seriously loved dogs/cats/rabbits. Their graves were custom-made, and lovingly adorned with photos, flowers, food and ornaments.

By the way, can anyone tell me what normally happens to dead dogs and cats? I’m no longer sure why the concept of a dogs graveyard seems so absurd.
